Description : APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED for a full-time regular Head Mechanic position in the Fillmore County Highway department. This is a regular, non-exempt position. Minimum requirements: Requires minimum of a two-year technical degree in diesel and heavy equipment repair from a college or technical school and at least two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, a valid Class “A” Commercial driver’s license, strong communication skills and ability to work well under stressful situations in a team environment. Starting salary is $26.00/ hour in accordance with the current union contract with final salary based on experience.
