sand-creek-eap-logoMCIT (Minnesota Counties Intergovernmental Trust) provides Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to all full and part-time MCIT member employees and their dependents. EAP is a risk management tool designed to provide employees, their spouse and their dependents access to a qualified counselor to assist in resolving personal issues that may affect performance at work. This voluntary program provides short-term, no cost counseling services for issues related to finances, work, chemical dependency, stress, relationships and other life concerns. MCIT contracts with Sand Creek for these services. 
EAP Offers Support for Many Issues Including: 
  • Relationships
  • Separation and divorce
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Financial problems
  • Parent and child difficulties
  • Job concerns
  • Loss and grief
  • Alcohol and substance abuse
What Does EAP Do? 
  • Helps employees find professional assistance for personal problems
  • Offers short-term counseling for employees, their spouse and their dependents
    • You, your spouse and your dependents are eligible for up to four (4) counseling sessions for each identified problem at no-cost
  • Uses pre-approved qualified counselors throughout Minnesota
  • Assists in identifying long-term resources
  • Provides referrals for long-term care
