To obtain an Exempt Gambling Permit, you must complete the following application. If the premises is within a City limit you must take it to the City Council/Board for approval. If the Gambling Premises is outside city limits, but within Fillmore County, you must complete the application and submit it to the Fillmore County Auditor/Treasurer's Office. The application will then be added to the next upcoming Commissioner Board Meeting Agenda for approval. Once approved you may pick up the approved application or we can mail it to you. At that point it is your responsibility to send the original application along with proof of your non-profit status and a check or money order made payable to the "State of Minnesota" for the correct fee listed on the application and mailed to:

Fillmore County processes temporary 1-4 day liquor licenses as well as Consumption and Display permits for entities where sales are located outside a city limit, however within the geographical boundaries of Fillmore County. If it is being sold within a city limit, it needs to be submitted to the City for approval.
NEW ENTITY:
Application for On-sale Intoxicating Liquor License, or Consumption and Display permits are accepted at the Auditor/Treasurer's Office. Fees are due at the time of application and are required on the renewal date of each calendar year. To determine what your fees will be, please contact the Auditor/Treasurer's Office directly. There is a separate fee payable to The MN Liquor Control for your "Buyer Card" which must be included with your application for first-time registrants.
Please complete the forms and indicate whether you are the President or Manager. You must also have the Township Clerk or Chairperson, County Attorney, and County Sheriff sign before returning to our office. You MUST include a copy of your liquor liability insurance policy.
Once forms are submitted, they will be added to the County Board Agenda for approval. Once approved by the County Board, forms will be submitted along with the fee for the Buyer Card to the MN Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division.
Upon receipt of the approved license, we will retain a copy and send the original to you.

Tobacco licenses are renewed annually on September 30th. The fee for this license is $125.00 and will be prorated for new entities if they are applying at a different time. You will need to send a completed CT102 Tobacco License Application along with the fees to the Fillmore County Auditor/Treasurer's Office. Once the license has been approved by the County Board, the approved license will be sent to you. For additional information regarding cigarette/tobacco tax go to the MN Department of Revenue.

Applications for Display of Fireworks must be completed and returned at least 15 days prior to the date of the display. Completed applications must be accompanied by proof of bond or certificate of insurance as well as a diagram of the ground or facilities at which the display will be held AND provide documentation and/or a receipt of purchase of the fireworks and an itemized listing of the displays.
The fee is $20.00 and can be made payable by check/money order/cash to Fillmore County.

In order to be compliant with the County ordinance, payment of $50.00, a completed Fillmore County Precious Metal License Application, Form SP:C1 and completed Certification of Compliance on MN Workers' Compensation Law. Upon approval by the County Board, the license will be sent out to you.
Please see MN Statute 325F.736 with regards to required holding period. Renewals are on an annual basis.
