The Fillmore County Attorney is an elected position with a term of four years.  I began my first term in 2003 and work hard to ensure that Fillmore County continues  to be a safe and secure place to live, work and raise a family.
My office is responsible for prosecuting all felonies which occur in Fillmore County. We also prosecute most gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor cases which occur outside of municipalities within the county. My office is responsible for prosecution of all juvenile matters wherever they occur in the county.
In addition to criminal prosecution, my office handles all court cases involving zoning issues, child abuse and neglect, truancy, public guardianships and conservatorships, child support enforcement, and judicial commitments for chemical dependency and mental illness.
The County Attorney's Office also advises the Board of County Commissioners and all other county offices on legal matters involving the county. Additionally, this office provides advice and assistance to all law enforcement personnel with respect to the investigation of crimes and offenses that occur in the county. Please visit the Attorney Services page for a more detailed explanation of all legal services provided by the County Attorney's Office.
