Continuing Education Excerpt from letter from Tim Edwards, Director of Student Services, Mitchell Technical Institute: "In today’s current economic climate, with an increasing number of veterans of the armed services leaving the military and looking for employment, I would like to take this opportunity to share some information about Mitchell Technical Institute with you. It is my hope that you will pass on this information to your veteran clients. MTI, located in Mitchell, SD, has been providing quality technical training since 1968. We are fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association (www.ncahlc.org, 312-263-0456). Our curriculum consists of 22 programs in four divisions: Construction/Utilities; Engineering Technologies; Health Sciences; and Business and Services. Programs range in length from 9 to 24 months. Our placement rate has been consistently above 90% for more than 15 years. Some of our programs are nationally unique; others are unique to South Dakota and the region.
