Fillmore County All Hazard Mitigation Plan
A copy of the new Fillmore County All Hazard Mitigation Plan is currently being made available for public view. Hazard Mitigation is defined as any sustained action taken to reduce or eliminate the long-term risk to life and property from hazard events. It is an on-going process that occurs before, during and after disasters and serves to break the cycle of damage and repair in hazardous areas.
The County Plans are reviewed by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Homeland and Security Emergency Management and approved by FEMA. The updated plan was approved by FEMA on January 25, 2018 and is good for 5 years from the date of the letter. The electronic copy is available on the Fillmore County website at http://www.co.fillmore.mn.us/sheriff/emergency
