Passports

The Auditor/Treasurer's Office is the central financial and accounting office for Fillmore County and acts as the bank and custodian of all County funds and cash assets. Responsibilities of this office include:

• Financial:
  • Cash management and investment of county funds
  • Monitors and manages all County bank accounts and reconciliation
  • Prepares the County's annual financial statements: Unqualified Opinion 2009 Audit
• Taxes:
  • Calculates and collects taxes for school districts, townships, cities, and special taxing districts
  • Prepares and mails tax notices and statements
  • Collects delinquent taxes
  • Disburses tax collections to proper taxing districts
  • Tax Forfeiture Sale
• Payroll:
  • Processes all payroll deductions and employee benefits
• Vital Statistics:
  • Issues licenses and permits for auctioneers, beer, dance, and fireworks
  • Issues marriage licenses and passports
  • Birth and death certificates - see more information
• Registrar of Voters:
  • Maintains and manages voter registration records
  • Trains election judges
  • Prepares ballots and provides elections supplies to voting precincts
  • Conducts and supervises all county elections
